The California GOP is in big trouble-- even in the corners of the state they still dominate. All 4 Republican congressmembers in what was once the Republican Party heartland-- Orange County-- are holding on by a thread. Hillary won all 4 districts and independent voters have had it with the GOP and are teaming up with Democrats to replace Darrell Issa, Ed Royce, Mimi Walters-- who never even bothered to move away from the beach and into her own district after being elected in 2014-- and Putin puppet Dana Rohrabacher.

Past/future of CaliforniaRo Khanna (D-CA) was right this week when he wrote a Sacramento Bee OpEd calling for California voters to jettison Dianne Feinstein in 2018. Sadly, most California Democratic electeds privately agree with his reasoning and conclusion but have neither the integrity nor courage to say so in public.
Not many Americans are especially aware of Yemen, an ancient country at the foot of the Arabian peninsula. it isn't on many tourist itineraries and there hasn't been a lot of U.S. business involvement. The country is not oil rich. But there is a horrifying war going on that has brutally devastated the country being carried out by U.S. allies, primarily Saudi Arabia, but also Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, Sudan, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Bahrain, all authoritarian anti-democratic, feudal countries.
A few months ago, conservative L.A. Democrat Adam Schiff, my congressman, was looking for operatives to help run his Senate campaign. He was telling people that Dianne Feinstein had told him she would retire after her current term expires in 2019, when she will be approaching her 86th birthday (as long as her new cardiac pacemaker holds out). She wants another conservative Democrat like herself to occupy the seat.
Thursday morning we mentioned the votes in Congress against the People Budget (the Progressive Caucus) and the Congressional Black Caucus budget Wednesday night. Hours later Congress voted down the official Democratic Party budget-- with 32 Democrats, mostly Blue Dogs and New Dems, voting with the GOP against it-- and then narrowly passing, 219-206 Paul Ryan's GOP budget.
Wednesday evening, Democrats Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Marc Pocan (D-WI) have teamed up with Republicans Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Walter Jones (R-NC) to introduce a resolution (H.R. 81) that would halt U.S.
Poor GOP! They're getting ready to reap the whirlwind. It's starting already too. And it's going to get worse as they either manage to move their unpopular agenda or if they fail to move that agenda which is popular with their donors and their 30% moron base.
