The Republicans in each house of Congress have voted literally dozens and dozens of times over the past 7 years to repeal the Affordable Care Act, a top priority of an avaricious donor class that doesn't like the idea of helping to pay for poor peoples' healthcare.

David Feldman interviewed me yesterday for his radio show and he threw me for a loop with one of the questions that suddenly popped up out of nowhere. He wanted to know, basically, if millionaires should be driven out of the Democratic Party. I can understand why he asked me, inasmuch as I sometimes go on and on about how the DCCC is always undermining working class candidates in favor of wealthy self-funders. But that's an entirely different proposition from kicking any class of people out of the party. The Democratic Party is out of balance at this point.

Earlier this morning, we looked at Bernie's rally in Morgantown and at West Virginia GOP Senator Shelley Moore Capito's statement that she's willing to cast the decisive third vote to kill TrumpCare in the Senate if it comes to that.

Many 2018 congressional candidates are delighted to campaign against Trump and to tie their opponents to him, especially the ones with big Trump vote scores.

Yesterday, Bob Goodlatte's racist, xenophobic, Trumpist Kate's Law (H.R. 3004) passed the House. It should have been called O'Reilly's Law, since it was all his idea. In fact, the House passed two Trumpist garbage bills yesterday-- Kate's Law and Goodlatte's No Sanctuary for Criminals Act (H.R. 3003).

Shockingly, the DCCC doesn't recruit union activists to run for Congress any longer; quite the contrary. They have demonstrated for over a decade that they would rather recruit an "ex"-Republican or a wealthy self-funding careerist than someone who understands the concept of worker solidarity.

Remember how the first version of TrumpCare in the House wasn’t quite good enough for the far right savages in the Republican caucus? So they called in Freedom Caucus lunatic Mark Meadows to work with spineless south Jersey multimillionaire Tom MacArthur and they came up with a far worse and more deadly version that the radical right could-- and did-- get behind. That same process is playing out in the Senate now.

I went from an admirer to a detractor primarily because of how she ran the DCCC-- an utter catastrophe for Democrats-- and because she imperiously declared an impeachment investigation of Bush was “off the table” after the Democrats won back the House.
