The Republican wing of the Democratic Party wants to replace Pelosi with someone far to her right. The Wall Street-financed New Dems are behind the big anti-Pelosi push. Late this afternoon, HuffPo released the signatories to a letter pledging not to support her for Speaker, primarily a real garbage heap of Democraps. I'd love to see Pelosi replaced... but not by a New Dem of Blue Dog. This is the list (the worst of the plotters are bolded):

Most of the district is Berkeley, Richmond and Oakland, along with smaller communities like Albany, Emeryville, Piedmont, El Cerrito, Hercules, Pinole, San Pablo, El Sobrante and Kensington. Trump managed to pull 7% of the vote there. The demographic make-up is a great mix:

But we wasn't calling about BETO; she was calling about a progressive woman running for the House who needed a little extra financial push. She seemed surprised when I told her that the candidate had just gotten a million dollar little extra push from Nancy Pelosi's SuperPAC, House Majority PAC.
Missouri used to be a swing state. It used to be called a bellwether, in fact. But that was a long time ago. The state went for FDR all 4 times he ran and then followed by voting for Harry Truman, Dwight Eisenhower, Adlai Stevenson, JFK. LBJ. Nixon twice, Jimmy Carter, Reagan twice and... somewhere in those Regan years, they started swinging towards the dark side for real. Now they're a red state.
Reporting for The Hill the week, JulieGrace Brufke-- whose byline I've never seen before so maybe she's new and about to learn something valuable-- made a grievous error in the opening two words of an important story, Democrats in swing districts advised to avoid talking about immigration.
There are 84 candidates on the DCCC's Red to Blue list, 15 Blue Dogs, 60 New Dems and 19 that are not from the Republican wing of the Democratic Party. The bolded candidates have been endorsed by the Congressional Progressive Caucus, which doesn't mean much any longer since Mark Pocan seems to think it's cool to endorse New Dems.
