In an unusual move by US Presidential standards, Donald Trump has decided to summon all 100 US Senators for a White House briefing on the situation in North Korea. The meeting is to take place on Wednesday. In addition to Trump, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Defence Secretary James ‘Mad Dog’ Mattis will also be present.
While the move is legally unrelated to asking both Houses of Congress to declare a war (something Trump has not yet done), the gesture does imply a further march to confrontation with North Korea.

Senator Rand Paul is calling on the Senate Intelligence Committee to review the evidence linking Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to a chemical weapons attack that lead to Trump’s illegal missile strike on Syria.
Paul went on the “The Laura Ingraham Show” and noted that Assad is“either the dumbest dictator in the world, or it may be more confusing.”

Many of the nutters usually most enamored of Trump turned on him after the missiles flew Thursday evening, including UKIP whackadoodles Paul Nuttall and  Nigel Farage, plus Milo Yiannopoulos Katie Hopkins, Ann Coulter, Arron Banks and Paul Joseph Watson.

Anti-interventionist Senator Rand Paul has rebuked Donald Trump’s military action in Syria on the grounds that it will not make America safe and that it was conducted without Constitutionally mandated Congressional approval.

The Congressional leadership of the Republican party reminds me of a gang of suicidal men whose every attempt to do the deed fails because the single local bridge is only a metre off the ground. Adding to this is a Democratic party whose every public implosion, inadequacy and lack of originality is the proverbial net that keeps the otherwise useless Republicans on electoral life support.

Senator Rand Paul made his opposition to any would-be war on Syria abundantly clear in a manner that ought to resonate with President Trump.

Senator Rand Paul is publicly calling for Obama top White House staffer, Susan Rice, to testify under oath about her involvement in Trump staff surveillance and the unmasking of US citizens, which ultimately lead to intelligence agency press leaks.
Rand Paul called the unmasking an “enormous deal” and indicated that it should be illegal.
