AIPAC bought ads on Facebook complaining of Paul's hold on the funds while CUFI, Christians United for Israel, a Christian-Zionist organization, launched an email campaign to pressure the senator to back away from is position. Paul says he wants time limits on assistance to Israel and cuts in aid to countries that are hostile to the US.

The Free Beacon reports that “pro-Israel groups in America are mobilizing against Sen. Rand Paul (R., Ky.) for blocking the continuation of U.S. aid to Israel.”

Today the US Senate voted 77-21 to kill a proposal made by Kentucky Senator Rand Paul which would block US arms sales to the GCC monarchy of Bahrain who is also a member of the Saudi ‘coalition’ in its illegal war on Yemen now approaching its forth year.

In the past 18 months, Rand Paul has been the target of a gunman on a baseball field, was savagely attacked by a neighbor, and has been subjected to screaming protests at the airport. His family has received numerous threats of extreme violence.

Rand Paul isn't the only publicity hog in the Senate. He's just the worst. Every time something controversial comes up, he grabs some quick national headlines by pretending he might do something contrary to what everyone knows he will do (and always does do).

While U.S. senators often go out of their way not to excessively disparage their colleagues in personal terms, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) took the rare step Monday of declaring fellow Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham (SC) a “danger to the country.”
Paul made the comments on CNN while discussing the North Korea summit with Wolf Blitzer on “The Situation Room.” Blitzer noted that Graham has called for a vote on an authorization of the use of military force against North Korea should President Donald Trump’s negotiations fail.
