Just over a year after Colorado started selling marijuana in licensed dispensaries, they are seeing more customers than ever, but according to Nicholas Colas and his team at Convergex, a global brokerage company based in New York, Colorado citizens aren’t paying as much for their marijuana nowadays.
After interviewing several stores in Colorado, Colas found that prices are declining faster than some anticipated. Is there too much supply and not enough demand, or are there other factors at play here?

It is a sad day in the fight against Monsanto, GMO labeling, and the future of the planet. The Senate has adopted a law that would give ‘fast-track’ ability for the so-called Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) — a highly secretive bill that could restrict GMO labeling in the United States and abroad. In fact, some legal experts believe it could make GMO labeling completely illegal.

Concerned citizens from environmental and food safety groups gave formal notice of intent to sue to the Environmental Protection Agency for approving a toxic new pesticide called bicyclopyrone (BCP).
The EPA is accused of not considering the fatal consequences to befall endangered animals and plants, especially butterflies and bees responsible for pollinating our food, should BCP be used.

Congressman Mike Pompeo (R-KS) just reintroduced another ridiculous bill, the so-called “Safe and Accurate Food Labeling Act” (H.R. 1599). If it passes, it will mean states can no longer pass GMO labeling bills. It would also prohibit states or counties from banning or regulating GMOs in any way.

French Environment and Energy Minister Ségolène Royal is sending a clear message to Monsanto – biotech maker responsible for Round Up chemicals, and the target of a class action lawsuit in California, soon to be the taken to the US Federal Court.
Royal made the pronouncement this past Sunday that the weed killer Round Up should not be sold in garden shops since it is potentially harmful to human beings.
She told France 3 television:

In a major environmental paper draft leaked a few days ago, Pope Francis brings attention to genetically modified organisms and the pesticides used to grow them, calling them both environmentally and socially ‘significant’ problems.
While he doesn’t call for an outright ban, and even states that they may have been helpful economically in some parts of the world, he also says that farm workers have been marginalized by the production of GM crops.
He states:

Maharastra is a large industrial state in India known for its many historic monuments, but it will now be known as the state that stopped GM field trials.
Activists’ campaigns against GM crops in India are taking their toll; now the state government of Maharashtra will halt confined GM field trials to address letters issued to them by multiple parties.
The India Express reported that a letter was released saying:

If you refuse to eat genetically modified corn due to its classification as a BT toxin and pesticide, most people would understand your objection – but what about cloned animals as food? Members of the European Parliament are pushing hard for a ban on cloning animals for use in food, while the United States has embraced cloned meat and milk for almost a decade now. Have you been eating it?

Due to ‘disappointing yields and poor quality cotton fiber,” the country of Burkina Faso in West Africa is ditching Monsanto’s genetically modified cotton.

Monsanto, the U.S. corporation that everyone loves to hate, is the target of Neil Young, one of the top composers of protest music of his generation.

“‘Rock Starbucks’ is reportedly set to be included on Young’s next album, a concept album called ‘The Monsanto Years’. Young is reportedly making the album with Willie Nelson’s sons Lukas and Micah, with whom he played a surprise show in San Luis Obispo, California earlier this year.” [1]
