A California state attorney was arguing with another attorney in court when a bailiff walked up to her, ordered her out, then grabbed her by the wrists and swung her to the floor.
Her crime: “speaking loudly” and “acting in an unprofessional manner” towards the opposing attorney.
Apparently, this bailiff hasn’t learned that is routine behavior for attorneys.
The incident took place October 20, but video of the incident was released this week.

Fearing transparency would place officers’ lives at risk, the Pennsylvania House of Representatives approved a bill Tuesday that would make it illegal to release the names of officers under investigation for shooting or abusing citizens in the line of duty.
The only exception would be if the officer ends up charged with a crime.
But considering how rare that happens, even when the names of officers are released, we should expect a decrease in police accountability in the Keystone State.

Two Texas deputies were arrested on sexually assault charges since Saturday, including a Bexar County sheriff’s deputy on charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child, marking the 14th deputy from that agency to be arrested this year.
Bexar County sheriff’s deputy Matthew Adams was hired in August, meaning he was still on probation and was able to be terminated without having to go through months of investigation while sitting at home receiving a paycheck.

A Texas cop accused of raping a teenage girl as other officers watched was found guilty last week.
But not of first-degree sexual assault as he was initially charged, which could have landed him in prison for 99 years, but of second-degree sexual assault, which could have landed him in prison for 20 years.
Instead, Erasmo Mata ended up with a four-year sentence.
Mata, who was working for the Pharr Police Department when the assaults took place, must also register as a sex offender as well as pay a $5,000 fine.

North Carolina deputies shot and killed an unarmed man Sunday while trying to search a home for an assault suspect who no longer lived there.
Harnett County sheriff’s deputies arrived at the home of John Livingston at 3:30 a.m., demanding to be let inside.
But Livingston,  a 33-year-old father of three, insisted on seeing a search warrant.
When they were unable to produce one, Livingston shut the door.
But that prompted deputies to kick in the door, force their way inside and begin beating, tasing and pepper spraying Livingston

A veteran police officer in Texas lost his job after his bizarre ticket-writing habit came to light where he would send citations through certified mail to people he had never pulled over.
 
Houston police officer Dave Carter claimed he determined these drivers were speeding by pacing their speed from his own car while off-duty.

It’s been more than 24 hours since Minneapolis police shot Jamar Clark and there is still no official word on whether he is alive or dead.
And there is still no evidence on whether or not he was handcuffed when police shot him.
And there is still no confirmation as to whether or not he is even the suspect.
But now there is a growing horde of protesters growing angrier by the minute as police continue to stonewall them.
Clark, 24, was last seen being lifted into an ambulance and transported to a local hospital.

A disgraced police officer in Arizona was arrested on charges of sexually exploiting a minor only two days after he was arrested on charges of domestic violence.
The most disturbing part? Apparently the minor is his own biological child.
