Body cam footage released this week shows Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers punching and elbowing James Yarborough during an arrest while Yarborough was on the ground.
One of the officers then puts a gun to Yarborough’s head and says, “I will kill you.”
Thankfully, that officer did not make good on his promise, but he later noted in his report that he feared for his life because Yarborough was reaching for his waist.

A Texas deputy shot and killed an unarmed Navy veteran during a traffic stop, then the sheriff in charge  lied about it, saying the deputy and the man were engaged in a shootout where the deputy was fired upon first, prompting him to fire his weapon eight times.
But that never happened.
Dash cam video released this week shows not only was there no shootout, Lyle P. Blanchard, 59, didn’t even have a gun when he exited his vehicle – only to be struck by four of eight rounds fired by Bell County Sheriff’s Corporal Shane Geers in Harker Heights, Texas.

The Sacramento police officer caught on video choking and punching a man for jaywalking was suspended Tuesday after his supervisors viewed the footage.
The cop claimed he feared for his safety because the man removed a jacket and dropped it on the street, indicating he was challenging the cop to fight.
But the man, Nandi Cain Jr., said he was just taking off his jacket to show he was not armed.

A Colorado cop was caught on a Snapchat video Thursday slamming a female college student to the ground during an arrest outside of a bar after she allegedly shoulder checked him.
The Thin Blue Line remains supportive of the officer, claiming the 22-year-old Colorado State University student committed felony assault seconds before he body slammed her.
However, they are refusing to release body cam footage that would prove their allegations.

The Oklahoma security guard and reserve police officer who pulled out a gun and shot a fellow security guard during a weekend gun show is now facing charges – despite the victim insisting he did not want to file charges.
Brian Pounds, an appraiser at the Tulsa County Assessor’s Office as well as a reserve police officer for the Collinsville Police Department, was charged with reckless conduct of a firearm, a misdemeanor.

A New York cop racially profiled a man, approaching the front door of his house, insisting the man identify himself because he “looked back” at the officer as he drove past his house.
Rochester cop Jonathan Laureano then began demaning Nishean Napier provide him with identification after Napier walked outside to move his mother’s car to the other side of the street so she wouldn’t get a ticket.
As Napier walked outside to move the car while in the middle of making an Instagram post, Laureano crept down his street in a police cruiser.

With that arrogant bravado only a cop can muster, Austin police officer Jamess Maufrais pointed two flashlights into the lenses of two cameras held by PINAC reporter Phillip Turner last November, bragging about how he was “not intimidated” by citizens with cameras, thumbing his nose at his own departmental policy that forbids officers from harassing citizens with cameras.
