Alabama Cop Charged with Murder for Killing Unarmed Man as He Cried Out for His Mother

An Alabama police officer was arrested on murder charges Wednesday for shooting to death an unarmed man who was walking home from a card game at 3 a.m. last week.
It is not clear why Montgomery police officer Aaron Smith stopped Gregory Gunn last Thursday other than the 58-year-old man may have been carrying a retractable painter’s stick.
But even that is not certain. And it’s certainly not illegal.

NYPD Cop Killed in Hit-and-Run While Pointing Gun at Woman who Struck His Car from Behind

An off-duty NYPD police officer was killed in a hit-and-run on February 28 while threatening to kill a woman who had just rear-ended him.
According to ABC7NY and Gothamist Harrison repeatedly shouted things like, “Do you know who I am?,” while pointing a gun at the terrified 26-year-old woman and her 2-year-old child seconds after the collision.
“I can kill you right now!”

South Carolina Teacher Accused of Contributing to Delinquency of Minor After Student Steals Phone and Discovers Nude Photos

A South Carolina school teacher is accused of contributing to the delinquency of a minor after one of her students stole her phone, discovered nude photos and shared them with other students.
Leigh Anne Arthur, who said she had taken the nude photos for her husband as a Valentine’s Day present, was forced to resign.
She was escorted off school property.
The superintendent said Arthur was at fault for not having a passcode on her phone.
Meanwhile, the student, a 16-year-old boy, is still attending school.

White Police Chief Arrested on Corruption Charges

City of White Police Chief David King and officer Blake Scheff were arrested Wednesday for arresting people on bogus charges with the sole intention to collect fines from the arrests.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation indicated the two engaged in this misconduct for four years, from December 2011 to April 2015. The GBI arrested the pair following an investigation that started in October 2015.

Kansas Cops Shoot Suicidal Woman Dead After She Complies with Orders

In yet another reminder of why we should only call police as a last resort, police in Kansas shot a woman dead after rousing her from her sleep and demanding her gun, killing her when she complied with their orders.
The woman’s boyfriend had called Gardner police to report that she was suicidal.
Now the woman’s daughter is suing.

In spite of the police department’s best efforts to block the request, however, we obtained a copy through unofficial means and are publishing it.

New York Legislators Approve Vague Felony Law of “Inciting Violence Against Police”

In response to the overhyped and mythical War on Cops, New York Senators approved a new law that would make it a felony against those “inciting violence against a police officer.”
However, the bill is extremely vague and does not provide descriptions as to exactly what would be an example of inciting violence against police.

North Carolina Cop Caught on Camera Repeatedly Punching Non-Resisting Man

A North Carolina police officer is under investigation for using excessive force during an arrest in an incident caught on camera.
The excessive force situation transpired on Tuesday, when 26-year-old Malcolm Glenn Elliott II fled the scene of a hit-and-run.
When the Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers caught Elliott, he was told to put his hands up and get on the ground. All the officers then descended opon Elliott to make the arrest.
But one officer, as seen in the video, decides to repeatedly hit Elliot in the face and backside.

Baltimore School Cop Caught Beating Student on Video

A Baltimore City School police officer was seen beating a student on a video that surfaced Tuesday.
In the video, the student is with his back against the wall as the officer is cursing and yelling at him.
The officer then pushes the student against the wall, strikes him three times, then kicks him, telling the student to “get the fuck out of here.”
The Baltimore City School Police Force is a separate agency from the city’s police department.
The school board said that the officer was reassigned, but would not identify him.
