Upset over the murder of an unarmed teen, protestors in a Dallas suburb took over a city council meeting and then chased away the mayor, who fled in a police cruiser on Tuesday.
We reported about Farmer’s Branch police officer Ken Johnson back in March when the off-duty cop was charged with the murder of 16-year-old Jose Cruz after claiming to see the teen trying to break into his vehicle.

Florida Cops Arrest Peaceful Protesters, Including Newspaper Reporter

On Friday, a protest took place in downtown West Palm Beach, demanding justice for the slaying of local musician Corey Jones on October 8.
Jones was shot by Palm Beach Gardens police officer Nouman Raja while he was just waiting for a tow truck at the side of the road. His car broke down early in the morning after a performance.
The Palm Beach Garden Police Department fired Nouman but no criminal charges were ever filed.

Los Angeles Deputies Convicted for Beating Schizophrenic Man in Jail, Marking 21 Convictions in Federal Investigation

Two Los Angeles sheriff’s deputies were convicted this week for beating a mentally ill male inmate to “teach him a lesson” after he had mouthed off to jailers in March 2010.
Bryan Brunsting, 31, and Jason Branum, 35, were both convicted on counts of conspiracy, falsifying records and violating the inmate’s civil rights, marking a total of 21 Los Angeles sheriffs deputies to have been convicted of crimes since the federal government began investigating the largest jail system in the country in 2011.

Albuquerque Man Dies While Restrained by K-Mart Employees Who Then Order Witness with Camera to Leave Store

A New Mexico man with schizophrenia died when loss prevention officers forcibly restrained him after they accused him of shoplifting inside a K-Mart in Albuquerque.
According to witnesses, Jonathan Sorensen repeatedly apologized while he was pinned face-down on the ground by two loss prevention employees.
A third soon joined in and they all sat on top of him, according to witnesses.
However, one of those witnesses who began recording the aftermath was ordered out of the store by employees.

Pennsylvania Cop Charged for Destroying Phone of Woman Recording Him

A Pennsylvania cop who ripped a phone out of a woman’s hand because she was recording, then slammed it on a sidewalk before punching the woman was arrested Wednesday.
All because another camera recorded Reading police officer Jesus Santiago-DeJesus criminal actions.
Otherwise, he would still be free while the woman, Marcelina Cintron-Garcia, and her boyfriend would still be facing charges.
In fact, Berks County District Attorney John T. Adams said they reviewed a total of five videos before deciding to charge Santiago-DeJesus for the April 5 incident.

Florida cops were in the midst of conducting a drug bust at a Jacksonville convenience store when they pounced on a man who entered the store – who had nothing to do with the drug suspects – and slammed him against a shelf, then grabbed him and forced him into a back room where they repeatedly punched him.
Jacksonville sheriff’s officers then charged Demarcus Brown with trespassing and resisting arrest with violence.
However, surveillance video shows the cops were the only ones who were violent.

California cops pulled a man over in May 2014, suspecting him of driving drunk, but he ended up dying in their custody.
But the Hayward Police Department, which regular sends out media updates about homicides and missing persons – never publicly acknowledged the death of James Greer.
And the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office never opened an investigation into the death of the 46-year-old man.
