BEIRUT, April 7 (Reuters) - Syrian rebel group Jaish al-Islam accused government forces on Saturday of dropping a barrel bomb containing poisonous chemicals on civilians in eastern Ghouta, injuring more than 500 people.
"The Assad regime and its allies carry on with their crimes," the rebels' military spokesman Hamza Birqdar told al-Hadath TV.

I really can’t understand why the alternative media is not discussing the Astana three meeting in Turkey (there are conflicting reports on the locale of this meeting in Turkey, so I've changed headline to meeting in Turkey)... What’s up with that? Where are all these alt media supporters of Syria ? Who in their right, rational mind would believe that ISIS actually seized a Deir ez Zor Oil Field from the US backed Kurds? In territory that the US occupies, having built multiple bases in that territory, having all those bases filled with both PKK/YPG & coalition troops? What kind of hard core drugs would one have to have sniffed, snorted or popped to believe that absolute nonsense. If SAA so much as comes close to their oil fields, or look sideways at them, they are bombed to smithereens!
Not bloody likely! One could see this claim coming a mile away. By that I mean it was obvious this was the claim that was going to be made no matter who died. Surely the plan was for civilians to die. Specials ops are valued persons, but, unintended consequences, ya know? Recall the other day?
So far the US media is continuing to be mostly vague on the location of these deaths- The UK media is reporting an American soldier among two killed in roadside bomb attack in Syria which also wounded five. The explosion occurred at Manbij. Pivotal area.Link
My first thought upon reading this was... potential provocation? You'll notice the coalition is silent on where these deaths occurred, the situation in which they occurred and nationality/ies of the two deceased individuals.
