Ohio Cop Shoots Journalist for Taking Photos of a Thunderstorm

(ANTIMEDIA) — A police officer in Clark County, Ohio, opened fire on a journalist Monday night after he mistook the reporter’s camera equipment for a weapon.
The incident occurred around 10 pm after Andy Grimm, a photographer for the New Carlisle News who was out photographing a thunderstorm — due to pass the small town about 20 miles north of Dayton — began setting up his camera and tripod at a local traffic stop.

Fearing for his life over a video camera, an Ohio sheriffs deputy shot a photojournalist Monday night who was setting up his camera on a tripod.
New Carlisle News photographer Andy Grimm was struck on the side and was rushed to the hospital where he is expected to survive.
Clark County sheriff’s deputy Jake Shaw apparently confused the camera for a gun.
Grimm, who says he knows Shaw through his job, said he had pulled into a parking lot to photograph the deputy making a traffic stop.

Canton, Ohio police officers responding to a report of suspicious individuals, shot a teenager he claims that he saw a gun in the dark, the body camera video starts with the officer running in the dark after someone with no light or warning and then he starts yelling “get down” and then the shooting starts. The video continues to document a foot pursuit that lasts a few more seconds when the shooting victim is trapped against a wooden fence.
