House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi referred to the current POTUS as George W. Bush, forgetting that Bush left office, was succeeded by Barack Obama, who left office and President Trump is now in the White House.
This is Pelosi’s third time, referring to Bush as the POTUS.
Nancy Pelosi’s weekly press briefing took a turn towards the bizarre, when the House Minority Leader wondered why Trump chose to visit Saudi Arabia first.
The reporter asked for Pelosi’s “impressions” of Trump’s visit, which included stops in Israel, the West Bank, Italy and Belgium, and whether she thought it had been “successful.”
It was a soft ball question, which Pelosi should have had an easy time answering. Instead Pelosi had an on-air nervous breakdown saying she would not criticize Trump while he was abroad, but…
I bet if Pelosi held her town hall back in her San Francisco district instead of on a CNN set with Chris Cuomo, it would have been a very different event. I suspect she would have faced a similar response from activists that other members of Congress have gotten from their constituents. First of all, all Cuomo's questions about the day's Trump infotainment crap would not have dominated an opportunity to find out what Pelosi stands for and where she wants to take her party and our country.
No one's perfect, especially not in politics. I suspect that if you read a steady dose of DWT, especially about the DCCC, you'd think I'm a major Pelosi detractor. I mostly admire her and respect her. (I just wish she never had anything to do with the DCCC, which has been a catastrophe under her hand.) As the Leader of the House Democrats in a more general way, it would be hard to find someone plausible who would be better.

Yesterday, Trump debunked the Russian connection conspiracy by exposing two photographs, via his Twitter, which show two key Democratic conspiracy theorists, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, meeting with Russia’s Dmitry Medvedev and Vladimir Putin respectively.
(ANTIMEDIA) Remember when Nancy Pelosi famously declared, “We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what’s in it?” She was, of course, referring to the Affordable Care Act, AKA Obamacare, and was justly skewered by “conservatives” at the time for the outlandish statement. Fast forward seven years, and now it’s the Republicans doing the exact same thing.
