Marianne Williamson

Marianne Williamson is different from any other Democratic candidate for president-- so the rest of them, and the establishment media, are all ignoring her. She wasn't on 60 Minutes or on with Rachel Maddow or Lawrence O'Donnell... or even CNN. Marianne has reached millions of people through her books and lectures, including four New York Times number one bestsellers. More people know who she is than the Starbucks Guy let alone some random member of Congress who thinks he or she would make a good president.

Does it surprise you that Americans are overwhelmingly pessimistic about Trump's illegitimate presidency? Only 29% of Americans think Trump's "presidency" will be successful in the long term.

These days, the Senate doesn't pass anything remotely controversial, let alone pass it unanimously. But last month they did-- a bill by Tim Scott (R-SC), Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Kamala Harris (D-CA) to make lynching a federal hate crime.

This is propagandaMembers of Congress mostly sign up for the Financial Services Committee because it's the easiest committee in Congress to sell your vote for big bucks. There are a lot of really corrupt committees, but Financial Services is numero uno. Every now and then a Democrat or two will manage to get on the committee with the express purpose of reforming it. They rarely last long.

Marianne Williamson has been taking the first steps towards a presidential run. She has set up an exploratory committee, released a video to go with that (above) and has been spending time in Iowa-- the interview in Des Moines (below) certainly gets out a message which is far more policy-oriented than we're hearing from other candidates who claim to be running-- and a message from her unique, holistic perspective. In this era of a profoundly anti-democratic Trump Regime, "are we committed," she asked rhetorically, "to government of the people, by the people and for the people.

Marianne Williamson has been traveling around the country speaking up for progressive candidates like Jenny Marshall in Winston-Salem and Laura Moser in Houston.
