For nearly 20 years, the term Islamophobia has been an omnipresent term in the western lexicon. The term is generally used to imply non-Muslims of various European ethnic backgrounds having a profound fear of Islam and Muslims.
But just as there is fake news, there is also a fake lexicon to accompany it. The entire notion of Islamophobia as defined and intellectually proliferated in the west, even by those who do not hate anything about Islam, is a dangerous canard.

Moscow’s unfolding strategy towards Libya could have a lot more to do with Cairo than observers realise.

Last month saw the death of a long-time British Labour MP Gerald Kaufman. Kaufman was a beloved figure in Parliament and was remembered for taking a keen interest in Palestinian freedom, recognising the importance of Jews such as himself working with Muslims, Christians and all others for a common cause based on the notions of human rights and justice for Palestine.

(ANALYSIS) — President Donald Trump has signed a new executive order temporarily banning all refugees, as well as people from six majority-Muslim countries, from entering the United States.
In contrast to the fanfare that accompanied Trump’s rollout of January’s ill-fated travel ban, Monday’s signing was a decidedly more low-key event. Trump signed the executive order out of public view. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson later outlined the details.

A visit that was paid to Moscow by the Prime Minister of the Libyan Government of National Consent, Fayez al-Sarraj has once again drwan the public attention to the problems of this country, that undergoes the crisis of duality of powers. Fayez al-Sarraj is representing the government that is situated in Tripoli, while the other government of Libya can be located the east of the country, in the city of Tobruk.

In a recent piece, I commented on how the mainstream media has gone from bad to worse in recent years. This time, I seek to travel to 2011, the year that Libya was transformed from a state which offered the highest living standards in modern African history to a failed state. It was also the year that Hillary Clinton’s state department started agitating for regime change in Syria. This of course ignited the foreign funded conflict that continues in Syria to this day.

Trump’s previous visa suspension was blocked by federal courts, he has fulfilled his vow to overturn this by introducing a new Executive Order temporarily blocking travel to the US for residents of six Muslim-majority countries pending revision of visa procedures. The order halts the issuance of new US visas to citizens of Iran, Libya, Syria, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen for the next 90 days.
