Award-Winning New York Sheriff Refuses to Provide Details on Two Recent Inmate Deaths While Being Sued for Third Death

Nobody at the Broome County Jail in New York is saying much about the two inmates who have died in less than a month.
In fact, the local district attorney’s office said it was not even aware of the latest death this week until contacted by the media.
And even then, Broome County District Attorney’s Chief Investigator Jason T. Ellis didn’t seem to really care.

Colorado Springs police pulled over a pair of black brothers in a white neighborhood last year without telling them the reason for the traffic stop, pulling both men out the car at gunpoint and frisking them before handcuffing them.
The passenger of the car, Ryan Brown, began recording and narrating the scene until he was shoved face first into the snow. His phone was pried out of his hand, turned off and tossed aside.

Like most politicians, Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine campaigned on a platform of promising better transparency to his constituents.
And like most politicians, he proved to be a liar.
But unlike most politicians, he is being sued over his broken promise.

An elderly couple riding scooters in a Texas Walmart ended up losing each other, so the wife rode outside the doors with items in her basket, prompting an employee to detain her and call police, accusing her of shoplifting.
Guadalupe Martinez, who is in her 70s, said she was not shoplifting, but looking for her husband, Juan Martinez, who is also in his 70s.
But they brought her into a back room anyway and began telling her she was permanently banned from Walmart.

“Do not fucking reach!” an enraged Los Angeles sheriff’s deputy shouted after pulling out his gun on a licensed private investigator sitting in his car in a residential neighborhood working on a case.
But all Ken Sheppard was doing was reaching towards his ear to remove his cell phone ear piece in order to better hear the deputy.
However, that was enough to make deputy Tai Plunkett fear for his life where he kept the gun pointed at Sheppard’s head with trembling hands in a surreal scene seemingly out of a movie.
