Brett Kavanaugh by Nancy OhanianI suspect there are a lot of voters, particularly Democratic voters, who shrug when someone talks about confirming a judge nominated by a president. Sure, a judge nominated by a Republican president isn't going to be as good as a judge nominated by a Democratic president, but the Republicans won and they get to pick the judges. Right? How bad could it be?

Yesterday, CNN reported something that most of us already knew-- that Trump picked Brett Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court because Kavanaugh has asserted that presidents are basically above the law.

Trump is now admitting there was, after all, some collusion. And it was Idiot, Jr. and Kushner-in-law who were doing the colluding, Trump personally covering up for them and Trump probably directing the collusion, or to put it more accurately, the conspiracy to commit treason. Just look at the Trump tweet from yesterday above.

Last night I had dinner with one and, as we were leaving Cafe Gratitude, he asked me how I thought the Kavanaugh thing would end. I think was looking for me to affirm his own optimism. I wish I could have. Do we have a shot? Sure.

Rand Paul isn't the only publicity hog in the Senate. He's just the worst. Every time something controversial comes up, he grabs some quick national headlines by pretending he might do something contrary to what everyone knows he will do (and always does do).
