I got in trouble with one of my dearest liberal friends today. A social media thread noted that some people were referring to Kamala Harris, “Joe Biden’s pick”** for Vice President going into the November elections, as a “Ho” (vernacular in English for the more rude form of the word “prostitute.”) I actually tried to stick up for not calling Senator Harris names (as a sure sign that one has the losing argument) and to instead insist on getting questions answered about policy – in particular, these questions:
There were mixed reactions to Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden choosing Kamala Harris as his running mate last night. Many at the top of the party hailed the pick as a strong choice. “I’m thrilled to welcome Kamala Harris to a historic Democratic ticket,” said Biden’s predecessor Hillary Clinton, who described her as “an incredible public servant and leader, “I know she’ll be a strong partner to Joe Biden. Please join me in having her back and getting her elected.”

A vote for Biden is (officially) a vote for Harris.
Dr. Steve Turley offers some very interesting analysis around the announcement on August 11th, that Russia has a new registered COVID-19 / Coronavirus vaccine. Named Sputnik V, the Russia vaccine is understood to be “simpler” than the six candidates nearing release by the US, but it also helps put President Trump and his efforts at combating the virus front and center. This appears to be a major detriment to Senator Joe Biden’s campaign.
