The first day of the NATO summit is now in the books and while NATO members clearly have some deep differences (US/Germany) what has come out of the summit is that despite all their internal bickering, the outdated and bloated alliance is still united and ready to adopt more robust “measures” aimed against Russia.
US President Donald Trump gave NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg a tongue lashing on NATO’s failure to crank up its defense spending, while calling out Germany for its complete dependance on Russian oil and gas.

As NATO gathered in Brussels, Belgium for a two-day summit, NATO’s Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stressed that although some differences exist between NATO and Russia, it must not lead to Russia’s isolation, as some in the alliance have called for.
Stoltenberg went on to say:

Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg told reporters that it is important for NATO to respond to Russia “in a measured way”, as the warmonger chief referenced the Deep State hoax nerve-agent attack by Russia (evidence has yet to be provided by UK PM Theresa May).
Stoltenberg then went on to cite a laundry list of fake “crimes” committed by the Russians, for which NATO must take into account should a member state suddenly invoke Article 5.

NATO welcomes POTUS Donald Trump’s “conditions-based” strategy in Afghanistan.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said Tuesday, in a statement on the organization’s website…
“I welcome President Trump’s new, conditions-based approach to Afghanistan and the region.”
During an Afghanistan “new strategy” speech delivered yesterday, US President Trump said that the United States will cooperate with Afghanistan as long as Kabul seeks to progress, however, the US help will not be endless.
