Historians might scratch their heads a long time to figure out when and why it happened, but by the time King Donald was doing the Arabian sword dance and rubbing King Salman’s magic lantern, he was gone. Well, he was just permanently absent, as if the little lucidity that remained had been switched off.
The only reason the Russiagate farce is still remotely interesting is because of the hypocrisy and self-effacing attitude the liberal American elite in the Democratic party and mainstream media have shown themselves to have during the entire saga which they refuse to let die.

Today predictably there is the leak intended to cause him harm from our old friends, ‘three anonymous current and former officials’.

The quote in the subject line was something reporter Michelle Goldberg said to Chris Hayes last night, about Prince Jared or, as we know him, Kushner-in-law. Her point was that the Kushners-- like the Trumps-- may be able to afford to clean up nicely but that they are nothing but vicious, merciless predators. And now the law is catching up with them (again).
Last week reports appeared in the US media that the FBI had discovered “a person of interest” in the Russiagate probe, who was still unlike all the other people being investigated a member of Donald Trump’s team. This week that person has been identified and it turns out to be Donald Trump’s son in law Jared Kushner.

The latest White House scandal over the president’s son-in-law and senior advisor Jared Kushner benefiting from the recent extension of the so-called “golden visa” program continues to dog the administration, despite its best efforts to brush it aside.
