9 Women, 14 Children Killed In US Airstrike On Raqqa, Syria

24 hours of US airstrikes against the ISIS capital city of Raqqa, in northern Syria, have killed at least 29 civilians and wounded a large number of others, many of them seriously.
The slain include nine women and 14 children.

The US Air Force has conducted an airstrike on units of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) volunteer militias operating with the blessing of both the Iraqi and Syrian governments in the war against Salafist terrorism.
The strike took place near the border with Syria in a move that has led many in Iraq to question the ethics and morals of US involvement in the country.

Lebanese Army preparing operation against ISIS on Syrian border

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The army of Lebanon currently conducts firearms proficiency drills as it prepares for the upcoming military operation against the Islamic State terrorist group (IS, outlawed in Russia), which is set to take place on the border with Syria, a source, familiar with the situation, told Sputnik Tuesday.
Earlier in the day, Lebanon’s Higher Defense Council said that the country’ leadership approved recommendations on military operation to liberate areas bordering Syria in Ras Baalbek and Al Qaa from the IS terrorists.

BREAKING: Philippines DENIES reports that US may intervene in Marawi against ISIS

Defence officials in Philippines deny reports from the United States that American military contingents are examining the possibility of a military intervention in the country due to the war with ISIS aligned terrorists and other insurgents on the southern Philippine island of Mindanao and specifically the besieged city of Marawi.
US based NBC news earlier reported that Pentagon spokesman Capt. Jeff Davis stated that the US will shortly make an announcement on whether US bombers will commence military strikes in Philippines.

US may start air operation against IS militants in Philippines

Washington may launch a military operation that would allow the US military to conduct airstrikes against the Islamic State (IS, banned in Russia) positions in the Philippines, media reported, citing two defense officials.
According to the NBC broadcaster’s Monday report, the plan to start the operation, which is currently being considered by the US Department of Defense, may be announced later in the day.
The broadcaster also noted that the airstrikes are likely to be carried out by drones.
