SYRIA — (War Diary) — In early 2016 the hillside town of Madaya, just northwest of Damascus, was the focus of sudden Western and Gulf media campaigns featuring harrowing photos of emaciated elderly and children splashed widely across print, online and social media.
From the onset of the Syrian war, various outside forces have been diligently working to tear the country apart by any means necessary (even it meant raising an ISIS black flag).
Russia’s entrance into the theater of conflict in Syria stabilized the Assad government, and has lead to the now, seemingly inevitable victory that the Syrian people have fought so hard to earn.
The man who stands accused of planning the recent Barcelona terrorist attack which killed 15 was a convicted drug trafficker whose nefarious activities were well known by the Spanish authorities.
This is just another confirmation of the dangerous links between the illegal international narcotics trade and deadly terrorism.

Members of the Muslim community in Barcelona have taken to the streets chanting “not in my name” following the devastating terror attack.
At least 14 people were killed in the twin terror attacks, after a van was driven into the crowd on the busy street of Las Ramblas in central Barcelona and a car rammed into people in the seaside town of Cambrils, killing one, later that evening.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The Philippines intends to buy small arms from Russia before the end of the year, with budget already set out for this purchase, and plans to discuss the details in Moscow, Defense Undersecretary Raymundo DV Elefante told Sputnik on Tuesday.

“In Moscow we will discuss in detail what [small arms] we will be buying by the end of the this year. We already have budget intended for that,” Elefante said on the sidelines of the Army-2017 expo.
