ISRAEL — Israel Land Authority (ILA) officials, along with Israeli police and several bulldozers, raided and then demolished the Bedouin village of al-Araqib in the Negev region this week.

MINNEAPOLIS– The annual Global Peace Index, recently released for June 2017, has found that while the world is more peaceful now than last year, violence has increased significantly overall in the past decade.
Although the situation has improved in many countries, the ten lowest-ranking nations – known as the world’s “least peaceful” countries – have shown little change in recent years.

In February, during the Munich Security Conference, Saudi Arabia joined Israel in calling for sanctions against Iran for its role in supporting the Syrian government. Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir – without a hint of irony – told delegates, “Iran remains the single main sponsor of terrorism in the world.” Across the aisle, Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman accused Iran of attempting to undermine Riyadh.
