IMPEACHMENT

Allan Lichtman correctly predicted the winner of every presidential election since 1984. He even predicted Trump would win in 2016. This year he said Trump would win again-- unless Pelosi jumps out of a window on the 48th floor of the Transamerica Pyramid... or in some other way let's go off her insane and unpatriotic and defeatist notion of not impeaching Trump.

A host of 2020 Democratic presidential candidates are calling for impeachment. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, are the lawmakers who would actually spearhead an inquiry, and they say they will continue their investigations.

Mueller’s effort to divert attention away from US President Donald Trump’s orders to declassify documents pertaining to the FBI’s investigation into his campaign in 2016, and put the focus on impeachment and RUSSIA, showcases the level of panic that the Deep State is currently engaged in.

Trump ally Marc Penn owns and operates the ridiculous Problem Solvers Caucus, ostensibly run by Congress' most far right Democrat, Josh Gottheimer (Blue Dog-NJ) and Trump rubber-stamp Tom Reed (R-NY).

Yesterday, Charles Blow, noting that obstruction of justice is a crime, asked-- rhetorically-- if Trump should be impeached. Everyone of the left agrees that the Mueller report is "a damning document" that details "Russian efforts to attack our election to help the Trump campaign and the Trump campaign’s eager acceptance of that help, it paints a picture of Donald Trump as an unethical man with no regard for the rule of law.

In 2018, Chicagoland Blue Dog Dan Lipinski-- who is virulently anti-Choice, anti-gay, anti-immigrant, anti-healthcare-- and who has a solid voting record for a moderate Republican-- was on the verge of defeat in the primary. One poll had the 2 candidates within the margin of error and the other showed progressive challenger Marie Newman beating Lipinski by 5 points.

If that were still the case-- required civics classes-- more people would understand the difference between what the House does (impeachment) and what the Senate does (removal from office). They're not the same and there was never any reasonable chance that Trump would be removed by this Senate-- not even if he did take a gun out to the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot someone. That just speaks to the nature of the conservative movement, 2019. You'd need 2/3s of the Senators to remove Trump. Where you going to find that?

Al Green, wearing Grayson's tieEven deranged Trump ex-fan girl Ann Coulter refers to him as a "shallow, narcissistic conman." Shallow and narcissistic aren't impeachable. Conman probably is. But Pelosi says he's not worth the trouble-- and the divisiveness-- an impeachment would stir up. One of the first Democrats to introduce an impeachment resolution was Texas Democrat Al Green. He's listened to Pelosi's arguments-- and isn't persuaded.

Next stop Moscow?This morning's little incident with Roger Stone has to serve as a warning that all of this year is going to be a rocky ride in Congress, the media and in our lives. Early this morning, in Florida, there came a knocking on Roger's door. Apparently Bob Mueller took quite literally, Get Me Roger Stone.
