The city's most notorious trash pile, located between downtown LA's busy Fashion and Produce districts, continues to be a magnet for rats although it was cleaned up months ago.

Washington state lawmakers propose making permanent homeless encampments legal statewide, that will likely increase the spread of garbage, drug needles and human excrement on the streets across the state. Some homeless people refuse help and to go to shelters because they do not want to follow rules.

In case you haven’t noticed, homelessness is on the rise in North America and Europe. With successive record-breaking years, it’s becoming clear that this is no mere socioeconomic anomaly – it’s a serious social epidemic. While glad-handing politicians and their corporate benefactors carry on in their state of denial, the painful truth continues to seep out from our streets.

Kate McClure, Mark D'Amico, and homeless veteran Johnny Bobbitt were charged with theft by deception after they concocted a story that Bobbitt had given McClure his last $20 after her car ran out of fuel, which left her stranded on the side of I-95 in a dangerous neighborhood.

Collectivist political strategists are not interested in helping homeless people. Instead, they elevate the most disruptive elements, economically, politically, socially, and culturally, in order to create havoc that can be used as justification for more government power to combat the havoc.

Last year, Judicial Watch reported that the number of registered voters in Los Angeles County is 44% greater than the number of resident citizens of voting age. California has 1,736,556 ghost voters.

The tax would nearly double the $380 million the city currently spends on the homeless. It is unclear if it requires a two-thirds majority vote to be implemented. San Francisco risks chasing away its wealth-producing businesses and has failed to consider other options.

Mayor Eric Garcetti pledged $300,000 in funding to pick up trash and sanitize affected areas, including parts of Skid Row, but the plan has not been implemented - the City is not even power-washing or sanitizing this extended area where cases of typhus were found.
