#manson #witchcraft #cult In this new mini-doc I take on the markers of a cult. For twenty years and after two books I’ve looked into cults and their patterns and have attempted to boil it down to the ten key factors that stand out. At the end I consider witchcraft and its emergence.


In this episode, I decipher the philosophical and sometime esoteric underpinnings to two popular 90s films, Groundhog Day and The Truman Show. Surprising perhaps to some, both films exhibit a great deal of philosophical depth and forethought. Curious ethical and metaphysical questions are raised in both, and with The Truman Show in particular.


We return to Defense of the Orthodox Faith, Book III to demonstrate the obvious teaching of St. John the essence-energy distinction directly impacts Christology, which directly impacts sacramentology and the doctrine of deification (as opposed to created grace in Rome). We also see how the doctrine refutes similar errors in Protestantism, including their heretical Nestorian atonement doctrine. We will also touch in the lack of any gnomic will in Christ and how this relates to proper anthropology and the doctrine of grace.
 






Traditional philosophy and metaphysics Ep 5 picks up with a discussion of wisdom and the application of the wisdom texts in Scripture. We may also, if you’re lucky, touch on monarchy and the civil magistrate in terms of revealed doctrine.

Nonetheless, Syria has defended itself against the economic might of 2/3 of the world’s great powers and has beaten them all. As a career military officer and student of military affairs, I cannot explain how Syria could accomplish this if it were not the will of God.”
