Defender-Europe 20

In an interview for Gazeta Polska weekly, Lt. General Christopher G. Cavoli, the Commanding General of U.S. Army Europe said: Poland shows an extremely low level of organization, but it has slightly better military logistics and infrastructure than do the Baltic States.

Mr. Kavoli,  exercise DEFENDER-Europe 20  Plus – is this the same military exercise canceled over coronavirus concerns or completely different maneuvers that will be conducted according to another plan?

The US Department of Defense has announced that it will halt further troop deployment to Europe for the Defender 20 exercises, and recall thousands of already deployed troops from Europe, returning them back to the United States to help deal with the COVID-19 crisis.

As of March 13, all movement of personnel and equipment from the United States has ceased to Europe. Soon NATO DEFENDER-Europe 20 military exercises will begin in Europe. This exercises will be the largest in the last 25 years.

As you know, large-scale NATO maneuvers Defender-Europe 20 will soon begin. Nearly 40 thousand troops will take part in the exercise. The exercise will be held in 10 European countries, including Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland and Germany.
