Arkansas Cop Shoots Unarmed Man for Extending Empty Hand Towards him

An Arkansas cop ordered a schizophrenic man to pull his hands out of his pocket Monday evening, only to shoot him when the man extended an empty hand towards the cop.
Little Rock police officer Kalvin Snow then shot the man again after he had fallen to the ground because he once again extended his hand towards the officer.
Gary Johnson, who was not armed, is listed in critical condition at a local hospital.

South Carolina Judge Declares Mistrial in Police Shooting Death of Walter Scott

One juror refused to convict the South Carolina police officer who shot and killed Walter Scott as he ran away – even though the incident was captured on video – resulting in a mistrial Monday afternoon.
“I cannot and will not change my mind,” the lone juror was quoted as saying last week, even after the judge insisted the 12-person jury continue deliberating until reaching a decision.
But Judge Clifton Newman declared a mistrial today, allowing North Charleston police officer Michael Slager to possibly walk free.

But the threat, even if there was one, was over by the time Galluzzi fired his gun.

Tennessee Jail Guard Convicted for Beating and Kicking Hogtied Inmate

A Tennessee jury deliberated for less than an hour before convicting a Knox County jailer of assault and official oppression Tuesday after hearing evidence and viewing footage from the beating showing the corrections officer kicking the defenseless, hogtied inmate in the head.
Jurors were selected Monday afternoon for the trial of Nicholas J. Breeden, 37, who was fired by Knox County Sheriff Jimmy “J.J.” Jones two months after the incident on November 18, 2014.

Three South Carolina Prison Guards Charged With Attempted Murder for Stabbing Handcuffed Inmate

A male inmate was handcuffed in his cell when three guards stabbed the inmate multiple times. The stabbing occurred at Kirkland Correctional Institution in Columbia, South Carolina.
Jarrell Boyan, 26, Pernell Fogle, 24, and Jaquan Smith, 24, have now been arrested for attempted murder and misconduct in office. And they have all been fired from the South Carolina Department of Corrections.
The charges against the three officers were announced on December 1st just one day after they were fired.

Dash cam video captured a Washington cop tasering a naked man during what they say was an “excited delirium” episode, after receiving a call about the man jumping through a window and attacking cars.
The naked man’s roommate told Bellingham police officers the suspect was “on some kind of narcotic.”
The incident took place on October 8. The video was released in November.
At around 11:50 a.m., a caller reported a man to dispatchers in his 20’s with cuts to his body, bleeding after attacking a car.
