Drug production rates in Afghanistan have been skyrocketing every since Washington invaded that country.
Recent murmurs across the US media have indicated increased interest in “outsourcing” the war in Afghanistan to private military contractors. National Public Radio (NPR) interviewed Erik Prince, founder of controversial military contracting firm, Blackwater, who appears to be leading lobbying efforts toward this end.

Russia and China are emerging powers with the potential to rule the world, at the expense of the current balance of power. Sometimes they are in partnership, sometimes in conflict. Consequently every move these countries make is reported, analysed and responded to.

This is not what you are supposed to be reading. All remembrances of the “Soviet Era” in Afghanistan has been boxed and then labeled as “negative”, even “toxic”. No discussion on the topic is allowed in ‘polite circles’, at least in the West and in Afghanistan itself.

A report that a school in the town of Kunduz in northern Afghanistan was subjected to indiscriminate bombing by the so-called Western coalition came as no surpriseto analysts who closely following events unraveling in this Central Asian state. As it was announced by the Education Department Director of the Kunduz province, Janat Gul Nasiri, this latest air raid against Afghan civil infrastructure resulted in human victims.

Just recently, Jeff Davis a Pentagon spokesman has told Reuters that the US is evaluating the option of sending another 4,000 servicemen to Afghanistan..
