Central Asia

As is well known, international terrorism is a threat to the whole world. But this problem is particularly acute today in Asia, and China is no exception. In spite of being one of the most successful Asian States, PRC also has internal conflicts which are a breeding ground for terrorism.

It is clear that the region of the former Soviet states of Central Asia has a high strategic value both for the United States and for China, the European Union, Turkey, and many other leading nations. There are a number of reasons for this.

It’s curious that American advisers in Afghanistan, while citing the decisions adopted at the International Conference on Afghanistan of 2011, as well as NATO’s Chicago summit of 2012, are now forcing Kabul to reorganize its law enforcement agencies. According to their proposal, this “reorganization,” which should begin in early 2018, must result in the reduction of Afghan army troops from its present level of 172,000 to just 136,000.

After the candidate from the opposition Democratic Party Khaltmaagiin Battulga secured his victory in the July presidential election, Mongolia began actively solving its stagnant economic and social issues.
On September 7, the Mongolian State Great Khural dismissed the Cabinet of Ministers led by ‎Jargaltulgyn Erdenebat for violating the country’s laws on key economic issues related to concessionary transactions, child benefits and shares of stocks in mining company.
