The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has banned the use of 7 synthetic food additives used to mimic natural flavors like mint and cinnamon. [1]
You’ve probably never heard of benzophenone, ethyl acrylate, methyl eugenol, myrcene, pulegone, or pyridine, because food manufacturers are permitted to label them as “artificial flavors.”
But none of these additives will ever be used in food products again, though the FDA is giving manufacturers time to remove them from the food supply.

Four weeks ago, Twitter came under fire for not banning Alex Jones from its social network as a wave of bans against the strongly conservative newsman swept across other prominent media outlets like Facebook, Apple and YouTube. But now, it appears that Jack Dorsey has caved into the pressure.
Alex Jones and InfoWars are now banned from Twitter as well. CNBC reports:

A series of studies funded by Bayer and submitted to European regulators by the company to support claims that its neonicotinoid pesticides do not harm bees have been criticised by a leading scientist and an industry expert.
The news comes as environment secretary Michael Gove announced the UK would back a European move to ban neonicotinoids, also known as neonics, due to mounting scientific evidence linking the chemicals to bee deaths.

The news is awash with fire and brimstone warnings about plastic pollution, both on land and at sea. To help battle back against the trillions of pieces of plastic littering the planet, the National Park Service put a policy in place in 2011 encouraging national parks to end the sale of bottled water. The U.K.’s National Health Service (NHS) has announced that it will ban homeopathy and herbal medicine in order to save £250 million ($325 million) a year, calling the healing methods a “misuse of scarce funds.” They are among dozens of medicines which officials said should not be funded by the health service. NHS has spent hundreds of thousands of pounds on homeopathic treatment, which it now says “is a placebo” and a waste of money that could be spent on “treatments that work.”
