This video places great focus on the situation in Syria, including, remarkably, Mr. Carlson’s assertion that the allegation that Bashar al-Assad used chemical weapons in his own country was false (in 2018 and 2017 this was the hot American media narrative). Tucker Carlson makes the same case Rush Limbaugh and I made a few days ago: President Trump is probably the most anti-war president in US history.
There are many examples of the contempt the western elite harbour towards their own citizens. Some of the most poignant examples, however, are not expressed in government policy but in the subtle ways that the media toes an unofficial government line, doing something legislation could not so rapidly do, control, numb and confuse the hearts and minds of ordinary people.
Many Trump supporters have expressed their shock, anger, disappointment and disillusionment with the man they once so vigorously supported. But they did it in what can literally (rather than politically) be described as a conservative way.
To understand how the liberal mindset has evolved, or rather devolved, one needs only look at Syria and Yemen and contrast it with the events and feelings surrounding the 2003 invasion of Iraq when many well-meaning left-wing liberals took to the streets in protest against the war.
