Dear Friends: Some issues explained

Dear Friends: Some issues explained
Your website has been recently experiencing troubles with PayPal returning to donors all donations not made in US dollars with the excuse to the donor that I have requested to approve or reject all foreign donations. I have made no such request and have made no such rejections. This problem, never previously experienced, all of a sudden appeared out of nowhere. So far PayPal has been unresponsive to my inquiries. I am confident that our webmaster will get the matter resolved. In the meantime donors from abroad might consider using Stripe.

Many Thanks For Your Support

Dear Donors:
This website was launched on New Year’s eve, December 31, 2011. It is now half way into its seventh year. The deal between us is that this is your website and it will stay up as long as you support it. Your response to June’s quarterly call for support has again fulfilled your side of the bargain, and I will continue to fulfill mine. The website has a large readership international in scope and the columns are regularly translated and published abroad. They are also reposted on many websites here at home. You can be proud of what you have helped to create.

Newsletter

Dear Readers:
For reasons unknown the newsletter service drops some subscribers from the newsletter for which they sign up. It doesn’t happen to everybody, but it happens often enough that I am aware of it. Possibly it is a bug in the newsletter service’s software. Possibly some of you forward the notices, which have at the bottom the option of unsubscribing, and the receipient, annoyed, unsubscribes. Possibly there is some sort of hacking going on.
If you desire to receive the notices, just sign up again. Or just check the website each day.

The Case of Julian Assange

The Case of Julian Assange
Julian Assange is a journalist, not a spy. Because he published leaked material that proved the duplicity and criminality of the US Government, Washington has had him locked up in the Ecuadorian embassy in London since 2012 and is now negotiating with the new president of Ecuador to revoke his asylum and turn him over to the US. http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/49590.htm

A Conversation on Race — Paul Craig Roberts

With today’s posting —
https://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2018/04/18/conversation-race-paul-craig-roberts/ — I hope to take a few days off until next week, assuming Washington can refrain for a few days from orchestrating another fake or false flag event in order to justify another Washington war crime against Syria and another dangerous accusation against Russia or Iran.

Easter from a Reader

From a Reader:
I read with great interest, your column regarding the calendar on your Apple laptop, as I had discovered, in the weeks leading up TO Easter, that the calendar on my ATT Samsung Galaxy Express Prime with Android (whatever) OS, had a whole bunch of silly/stupid holidays, but again, NO EASTER. Forward to December…no Christmas! Going BACKWARD, to Dec. `17, Christmas EVE got notice, but NOT Christmas…SAD! Please keep up your good work!

Parkland Obituaries

Parkland Obituaries
Some readers report finding some convincing obituaries and some less so. For example, some readers report what appear to be more like news stories than obits in which people who did not know the victim are very mushy about it as if it is an orchestrated PR event. Some readers say that the Parkland shooting is more convincing than the Las Vegas one, and that some of the mass shootings are real and some are not.
