As the Hamburg G20 wraps up its second day, the main event has no doubt been the much anticipated first tete-a-tete between Russian president Vladimir Putin and US president Donald Trump.
But while Trump clearly showed great respect for Putin, he apparently has much less regard for Canada’s prime minister Justin Trudeau.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel had an easy time dealing with former POTUS Barack Obama.
Both Merkel and Obama were devout neo-liberal globalists, working on behalf of the deep state and the billionaire elite class.
Merkel’s relationship with current POTUS Trump is much different. Trump is no push over like Obama.
The current US President has blasted Germany for not living up to its NATO contribution, as well as pressing for trade equity between the two nations when it comes to automobile exports.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s office has issued a statement expressing concern about the US Senate’s vote to impose new sanctions on Russia, warning that they are prepared to retaliate if the sanctions end up harming German companies.

Merkel attacks latest US anti-Russia sanctions

Shortly after the joint statement of the German and Austrian foreign ministers angrily denouncing the new sanctions against Russia voted on by the US Senate, Angela Merkel has added her voice to the protest and is making her opposition to the latest sanctions clear.
In her usual Sphinx like way Merkel avoided making a statement herself.  However her views have been made known by her spokesman Steffen Seibert in a briefing earlier today
