Freshman Congresswoman Ilhan Omar has come under fire for a Twitter exchange in which she implied that AIPAC (the American Israel Public Affairs Committee) is the reason that so many Congressional representatives support Israel over American interests and principles.
The lineup of Democrats who have already declared themselves as candidates for their party’s presidential nomination in 2020 is remarkable, if only for the fact that so many wannabes have thrown their hats in the ring so early in the process. In terms of electability, however, one might well call the seekers after the highest office in the land the nine dwarfs.
WASHINGTON – The well-known pro-Israel lobby in the United States, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), has launched a fundraiser based on recent comments made by Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) that criticized the influence of AIPAC on using lobbyist funds to generate support for pro-Israel policies in Congress.
After two and a half years and $30 million – the vaunted Russia Investigation into Trump’s presidential campaign has officially fallen flat on its face, and one of the tragedies of this was the phony US show trial of Russian graduate student Maria Butina. It happened once again; someone committed the egregious sin of speaking the truth only to be vilified by establishment voices. This time around, it was Ilhan Omar, Minnesota’s freshman Representative–and a refugee from Mogadishu, Somalia–who was mauled by her own party and the media-politico complex for daring to criticize AIPAC.

A Muslim lady with a mouth and some opinions, apparently. Muslim Rep. Old status quo politicians-- I usually refer to them as careerists-- feel very threatened when Democratic constituencies elect younger non-establishment representatives.
Some Democratic heavy hitters have formed a new pro-Israel organization focused on progressive Democrats. The new group, “Democratic Majority for Israel (DMFI),” is the latest in a long line of groups working for Israel in the United States.
