Yesterday when I woke up, I saw a tweet from Ice-T about how he ignored a call asking him to play the Inauguration. And artist after my own heart!

Unwilling to examine the real reasons why Democrats did so poorly on Election Day, party leaders in Congress are scapegoating Russia and setting in motion a new McCarthyism, writes Norman Solomon. By Norman Solomon On Tuesday, Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer…Read more →
Perhaps you're aware that a campaign has begun to get President Obama to pardon whistleblower Ed Snowden. The ACLU, Amnesty International, and Human Rights Watch have all signed on with PardonSnowden.org, to win Snowden a pardon or, in Bernie Sanders' words, "clemency." The idea is to bring Snowden back to the U.S. without locking him up in prison.
Last night Russ Feingold's campaign sent an e-mail to his followers saying that "Donald Trump just encouraged Russia to commit cyberattacks against Americans... Trump held a press conference on national security that reaffirmed just how truly dangerous he is-- and utterly unfit to be the president of the United States." He's the law and order candidate? That actually sounds illegal.
Before announcing for President in the Democratic Primaries, Bernie Sanders told the people he would not run as an Independent and be like Nader—invoking the politically-bigoted words “being a spoiler.” Well, the spoiled corporate Democrats in Congress and their consultants are mounting a “stop Bernie campaign.” They believe he’ll “spoil” their election prospects.
On May 8, 2014, the Republicans rammed through a resolution to establish the Select Committee on the Events Surrounding the 2012 Terrorist Attack in Benghazi, a committee specifically designed as a witch hunt to drag Hillary Clinton through the mud and sully her name before the 2016 presidential election. Adelson and Saban with the Israeli American Council guyIn 2000 I found myself in a car with state Senator Adam Schiff and his parents on our way to an event in a mansion on the West Side. Schiff was in the midst of what turned out to be the most expensive congressional campaign in American history at the time-- against villainous impeachment manager and right-wing ideologue James Rogan.
Voters in Hollywood, Glendale, Silverlake and Burbank have a choice-- Schiff is the CIA corporate candidate and Stokes is the grassroots progressiveAdam Schiff, a conservative Blue Dog and New Dem with a Military Industrial Complex complex, is a bad fit for his new district, which saw much of its more conservative-leaning areas in the eastern third of the district, including most of Pasadena, South Pasadena, San Marino, Alhambra and Altadena, shave
This week, Paul Ryan has been pushing a new GOP talking point about how Dodd Frank is to the banking system what Obamacare is for the healthcare system. In other words, he's way on board with Wall Street whore and House Financial Services Committee chair Jeb Hensarling in wanting to repeal or dismantle the consumer (and societal) protections, as weak as they were, in Dodd Frank.
