Some of the best candidates running for Congress in Texas lost out to conservatives in the primary or the primary run-offs. But not all. Mike Siegel, running in a bizarrely gerrymandered district (TX-10) that goes from Austin northern Austin and Pflugerville to Bastrop, La Grange, Columbus and Sealy right into Prairie View, Cypress, Tomball and the suburbs northwest of Houston.

The Elizabeth Warren of the WestTuesday will see 4 crucial open primaries in Orange County. Blue America has endorsed in 3 but can't find a candidate good enough to make an endorsement in one (CA-48). In CA-48, the coastal district that starts up in Seal Beach and heads south through Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, Costa Mesa and Newport Beach to Laguna Beach, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Niguel and Three Arch Bay.

On Tuesday there are primaries in California, Iowa, New Jersey, South Dakota, Alabama, Mississippi, Montana and New Mexico. Three weeks later-- on June 26--there are congressional primaries in Colorado, New York, Oklahoma (and Utah).
