2018 congressional races

The DCCC didn't have the decency wait for local Democratic voters to pick a candidate to run for the AZ-02 nomination. They just barreled in and endorsed-- and spent tons of money on-- the most conservative of the 7 Democrats in the race, Ann Kirkpatrick.

Mr. Republican, 2018MN-01 runs along the entire southern border of the state, from the suburbs west of La Crosse, Wisconsin across the Mississippi River to just a few miles east of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It's a pretty red rural district (R+5) and gave Trump a 53.3-38.4% win over Hillary.

Over the weekend, the New York Times published an OpEd by Peter Wehner, The Full-Spectrum Corruption of Donald Trump. "There’s never been any confusion about the character defects of Donald Trump," Wehner, a former Reagan and Bush staffer and senior fellow at the conservative Ethics and Public Policy Center began.

Never afraid to tell the voters what he plans to doOver the weekend, Politico released a new poll of registered voters from Morning Consult. A couple of points:41% approve of Trump (22% strongly) and 54% disapprove (42% strongly).

Closing In by Nancy OhanianNBC News has released polling numbers from 9 key states-- eight of which Trump won-- showing that, among other things, that the anti-red wave is going to sweep away a lot of Republicans in November.

Yesterday, the NY Times reported that senior Republican Party leaders are now urging their most imperiled incumbents to speak out about the wrongdoing surrounding Señor Trumpanzee.

Holy Jesus! (And if you know me, you know how respectfully I mean that.) I just watched the new Randy Bryce video. I've never seen a campaign video anything like it. There's not even a photo-- let a lone a mention-- of Bryce or a clue it's a campaign video until about 3:20 minutes into this 3:54 minute video. In fact, I don't think Bryce's name is never mentioned. I guess this is the closest this tragic poem about the opioid crisis comes:

There's been a lot of silly talk by click-hungry pundits about how there's no blue wave coming. Unless, they're smart enough-- and they're not-- to be explain that there's no blue wave because it's actually an "anti-red wave," just ignore them and they'll slither back under their rocks. Ask a Republican incumbent if they feel a wave coming.
