F. William Engdahl returns to Our Interesting Times to discuss his heretofore unpublished chapter "A New World Order Built on the Ashes of War." We talk about the intrigues of the secretive network known as the Round Table and the role it played in fomenting the world wars of the 20th century. Later we talk about his 2009 book Gods of Money: Wall Street and the Death of the American Century.
Tomorrow’s White House meeting between Donald Trump, Rex Tillerson, James ‘Mad Dog’ Mattis and all 100 Senators could just be the biggest bluff of his Presidency and indeed the biggest bluff of recent US history. Of course it might not be. Both scenarios must be considered even though I lean heavily towards the ‘bluff’ theory.
I wish there was a better phrase for what I imagine this to be than a ‘made for TV Presidency’, but alas that is what it feels like.

It almost appears oxymoronic that national sovereignty movements are now global in nature. And to the dismay of globalists who gather at annual elitist and secretive meetings sponsored by the Bilderberg Group, the World Economic Forum, the Ambrosetti Forum, and the Bohemian Club to bemoan the growth of populist political parties, national sovereignty movements are here to stay.
America needs a game-changer. In the inaugural issue of the Journal of American Affairs earlier this year, I argued that a Reagan-style technology driver comparable to the Strategic Defense Initiative is required to restore American supremacy in military as well as dual-use technology. Allies such as Israel and Japan might become part of such an effort. China’s elephantine GDP would look less consequential if the content of respective GDPs changed dramatically over the next ten years...
How biased are the US media, really? This is a frequently asked question. The answer is – they are biased very much and they know how to instill the vision of things in a quiet and unobtrusive way. Here is an example to prove the point.
“I love WikiLeaks,” candidate Donald Trump said on October 10th on the campaign trail. He praised the organization for reporting on the darker side of the Hillary Clinton campaign. It was information likely leaked by a whistleblower from within the Clinton campaign to WikiLeaks. Back then he praised WikiLeaks for promoting transparency, but candidate Trump […]
In recent weeks, the people of the world have been treated to yet another display of the kind of nuclear insanity that has broken out periodically ever since 1945 and the dawn of the nuclear era. On April 11, Donald Trump, irked by North Korea’s continued tests of nuclear weapons and missiles, tweeted that “North […]
It was just recently that the United States deployed its GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB) weapon against alleged tunnels belonging to the Islamic State terrorist organization in Afghanistan. The strike was meant to project US strength amid an increasingly challenged and contracting “international order.”
The dramatic events around Syria, namely the April 4 massacre of the civilian population in Idlib by toxic gases, which was immediately followed by the US missile strike on the Syrian airbase of Shayrat on April 7, finally culminating into very heated discussions in the UN Security Council, have pushed other tragedies of the Middle East far into the background.

Press TV – April 24, 2017 British Prime Minister Theresa May will use nuclear weapons “as a first strike” against UK’s enemies, even if the country is not directly attacked, says Defense Secretary Michael Fallon. “In the most extreme circumstances we have made it very clear that you can’t rule out the use of nuclear […]

Nancy Pelosi was one of Chuck Todd's guests on Meet the Press yesterday and he asked her "what should unify the Democratic Party? What should make somebody a Democrat?... Can you be a Democrat and win the support of the Democratic Party if you're [an anti-Choice asshole]?" He wanted to know if it was OK for the party to support an anti-Choice candidate, in this case Heath Mello, who's running for mayor of Omaha.
Immediately following the call by Chinese President Xi Jinping to President Trump on Sunday, during which the Chinese President warned President Trump against any unilateral military action against North Korea, comes news that the White House on Wednesday will be a location for a briefing on North Korea of the entire US Senate.

Here’s something quite ‘Pavlovian’ to think about. What ‘if’ it were a goal of government and their security services to ensure that we ‘feel’ we’re being watched at every turn, in every-way feasible; but reality is not exact what we ‘think’ it is and we’re doing most of the censoring all by ourselves.

An Israeli-US dual citizen who can only be described as a terrorist, yet due to legal technicalities cannot be named, is currently before a criminal court in Israel after Tel Aviv declined a US request for extradition. It is rare for a staunch US ally to decline an extradition request. After all, Sweden and the UK have been desperately trying to hand Assange over to America. Only Ecuador stands in the way.
The suspect stands accused of the following
–Making bomb threats against several packed passenger jets
–Threatening to blackmail a US State Senator
(ANTIMEDIA) On pen, the tone of the mainstream narrative on North Korea was somewhat conflicting — though certainly a little brighter.
Even as President Donald Trump was saying the “status quo” in North Korea is “unacceptable” and that the United Nations should impose sanctions on the tiny Asian country, the U.S. ambassador to the U.N, Nikki Haley, said the U.S. is “not trying to pick a fight” with leader Kim Jong-un.

In an unusual move by US Presidential standards, Donald Trump has decided to summon all 100 US Senators for a White House briefing on the situation in North Korea. The meeting is to take place on Wednesday. In addition to Trump, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Defence Secretary James ‘Mad Dog’ Mattis will also be present.
While the move is legally unrelated to asking both Houses of Congress to declare a war (something Trump has not yet done), the gesture does imply a further march to confrontation with North Korea.
Marine Le Pen has temporarily resigned from her role as leader of her party, Front National.
Le Pen described her move in the following way,
“I have always considered that the president is the president of all the French. Under this banner, he or she must unite all the French.
Tonight, I am no longer the president of the Front National. I am the presidential candidate.
I will be above partisan considerations”.

President Donald Trump has abandoned the foreign policy on which he ran to move America closer to war in Syria. Taking the U.S. into another tragic Middle Eastern conflict would sacrifice American lives and wealth while making the country less secure.
I sincerely feel sorry for the Trump chumps who naively believed the reality TV show narcissist turned president would end the wars.

Do you respect the 62,984,825 voters (46.1%) who were ultimately responsible-- no matter Putin's and Comey's interference or Clinton's unsuitability-- for putting Trump into the White House? Earlier this morning we looked at how proud they still are for having backed Trump; no buyers' remorse there.
The Royal Navy’s pay truly was contemptible. Except for those who were independently wealthy, the uncertain prospect of prize money was a captain’s only prospect for financial security. The British had to trust in fate and their captains’ skill for the encouraging effects of prize money, but it seems to have worked.

Sputnik – April 24, 2017 An Israel-Europe gas pipeline deal elevates Israel to the status of a major Mediterranean energy exporter. Ploughing through the testimony FBI Director James Comey gave to the House Intelligence Committee on 19th March 2017, I came across an exchange he had with Representative Adam Schiff, which has gone entirely unreported and the importance of which has been entirely looked.
This exchange shows that the US intelligence community admits that Russian intelligence did not have direct contact with Wikileaks, and did not pass on the stolen Podesta and DNC emails to Wikileaks.
