Americanism and not globalism will be our credo

Now I lay
me down to sleep
Citibank1
for my soul to keep
Forgive us our debts
as we forgive those
we bombed
after their accounts
we froze.2
The globe on his desk
on its axis spins
The American armed
was born without sins.
Immaculately conceived
by fathers founding
what she’s left3
that’s left
in darkness
resounding.

  1. The slogan of Citibank is “Citi never sleeps”– is a play on the sobriquet of New York City as “the city that never sleeps”. Founded as City Bank of New York in 1812 it later changed its name to First National City Bank of New York. Together with the Chase Manhattan (directly controlled by the Rockefeller family) First National City Bank controlled the greater part of the US banking market. It was also one of those corporations for which MG Smedley D. Butler, USMC (ret.) explicitly worked while in the US Marines– protecting their assets abroad– as he stated in his 1935 book War is a Racket.
  2. Prior to the bombing which led to the destruction of the Libyan Republic the US regime froze the country’s assets held in foreign banks. This practice of freezing assets is a common form of state extortion used by Washington with the help of the Anglo-American financial oligarchy.
  3. Inspired by the words of pensive presidential candidates.
