Keep It Green

The path to the future
is ours for the taking
if we don’t destroy ourselves first
trying to preserve the past
If we don’t
blow up the planet
in a nuclear war over control
of what’s left of fossil fuels
The sources of green
and renewable energy are there
and the means of storage
and distribution there as well
If we don’t
continue to obsess over
the religion of those who worship
the same god we do.
