Defence Minister met U.S. Ambassador
Minister of Defence of Georgia Mindia Janelidze met with the U.S. Ambassador to Georgia Richard Norland. Deputy Defence Ministers – Gocha Ratiani and Levan Girsiashvili, and the U.S. Defense Attaché Colonel Mathew Dimmick attended the meeting as well.
At the meeting the sides discussed the U.S.-Georgia bilateral cooperation issues with the focus on political-military affairs.
Future plans of bilateral defence cooperation were one of the main topics of discussion.
The sides referred to implementation of the NATO-Georgia Substantial Package Georgia received at the NATO Summit in Wales and the U.S. role in the process.
The U.S. side expressed readiness to support Georgia in implementation of its priorities.
