Hugh Masekela- “Khawuleza”
It's been quite a while since we visited Hugh Masekela on the Soothing the Beast BFP/Jamiol Music Pick. The song is Khawuleza which is a song that comes from the townships and reservations of South Africa. The children would shout from the streets as they saw police cars coming to raid their homes. They would yell "Khawuleza Mama!" which simply means "Hurry Mama! Please, please don't let them catch you!" A great song performed by one of my all-time favorites, Mr. Hugh Masekela...enjoy...DJPJ.
