When 97 were killed in Iraq Alone

Twas the twelfth
of June1
and all through
the house
not a white male
was stirring
not even a mouse
Then all of a sudden
a dance club
turned bright
not in Baghdad2
not in Aleppo
but Orlando
at night.
Excited,
impatient
all gathered ’round
not Disney
but corpses
no Mickey to be found.
Amazed
and dazed
as candles they lit
Pretending
unending
childish
innocence.

  1. In Iraq on June 12, 2016 a total of 97 people were murdered
  2. US Forces, esp. Special Operations that are based in Florida and North Carolina, have been deployed throughout Middle East and other parts of the world to wage the so-called War on Terror (nearly 15 years and counting), a continuous campaign of state terror directed against mainly non-white populations in the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia and Latin America. The daily death toll caused by US terror is not reported, nor is it acknowledged by most US Americans (or Europeans for that matter); e.g., drones. They are “unworthy” victims. However more importantly, the War on Terror can only be waged as long as non-whites die and whites believe they are victims. The delusion of victimhood must be reaffirmed with occasional blood sacrifices, especially in an election year. After the world war waged by the US from 1945 – 1989 against the Soviet Union was interrupted by the dissolution of the later, the US essentially declared war against the rest of the world– through NATO– first destroying Yugoslavia. Then war was escalated on 14 September 2001 with the adoption of the Authorization of the Use of Military Force Against Terrorists (AUMF), a circumvention not unlike the 10 August 1964 joint resolution “to promote the maintenance of international peace and security in southeast Asis”, aka the “Tonkin Gulf Resolution”.
