The Sundays- “Wild Horses”
The Soothing the Beast BFP/Jamiol Music Pick for this week is the English alternative rock band The Sundays doing a cover of the Rolling Stones’ Wild Horses. Guitarist David Gavurin and singer Harriet Wheeler met in college and formed The Sundays. They soon added bassist Paul Brindley and drummer Patrick Hannan to the band. The Sundays went on to do 3 albums in the 90′s and after some nice success, Wheeler and Gavurin married and went on to a private life to raise a family. They lived in seclusion and never came back into the limelight to perform again. I flat out love Harriet Wheeler’s voice and am among those fans that still miss her and The Sundays today. Harriet’s cover of Wild Horses shows off that voice. So on this Saturday night put on those earphones or add some decibels to the speakers for The Sundays performing Wild
