Russia Reports Belgium Killing Civilians in Aleppo Airstrikes, Russian Ambassador Summoned

21st Century Wire says…
The US-led ‘Coalition’ flying over Syria has turned into an illegal ‘free-for-all’ – with virtually no real control or accountability regarding what and where the Pentagon’s shadow confab is hitting in their alleged “battle against ISIS.” This latest incident involving Belgium is another prime example of this.
According to AFP, Moscow has claimed that Belgian air force jets from the US ‘Coalition’ has killed six civilians in airstrikes around Aleppo.

In response, Belgium’s foreign ministry has summoned the Russian ambassador Wednesday to discuss the charges.

Laurence Mortier, Belgian defense ministry spokeswoman, has categorically denied her country’s air force was even active in the area at the time.
“We are making contact with the Russian ambassador with the aim of summoning him today,” said Belgian foreign ministry spokesman Didier Vanderhasselt.
“We are also making contact at the level of the ministry of defense to pass on the message that Belgium has no responsibility for these airstrikes. That is also the message for the ambassador,” added Vanderhasselt. “We are also unhappy that this information was not verified before being made public.”
The problem with the illegal US-led operation in Syria is that Washington refuses to coordinate or cooperate with the sovereign state of Syria, opting instead to “do its own thing.”
Unaccountability and irresponsibility has plagued the US-led effort which is currently operating over Syria illegally in terms of international law. The low point came on Sept 17, 2016, when US ‘Coalition’ forces, including aircraft from the US, UK, Australia and Denmark – attacked a Syrian Army position massacring over 80 soldiers and wounding a further 100 in what Washington claims was “a mistake.” Because of the US-led attack on the Syrian government, ISIS terrorists were able to advance towards the key city of Deir el-Zour in Syria.
Another ‘Coalition’ “accident” in Syria took place in the town of Manbij on July 19, 2016, when US forces killed 28 innocent civilians, including many woman and children. The US initially claimed they had killed ISIS fighters, but in order to mitigate any potential PR damage, Washington eventually back-tracked later once the story had lost media traction.
Manbij is also a vital pathway for the ISIS “rat line” into Turkey.
Many doubts have also been raised about whether the US is actually eliminating ISIS forces in Syria or whether they are simply going through the motions to make it appear that they are doing something useful. Most experts agree that the US are steering clear of Al Nusra (al Qaeda), Arar al Sham, Nour al-din al-Zinki and other violent Takfiri terrorist groups in the hopes that these terrorists will aid Washington in its goal of destablizing and toppling the government of Bashar al Assad.
