Poet’s pain

My homeland sorrow will follow me everywhere
that pain which I confessed to the strings from my heart
trembling,
with the repentance of a daughter
although I cannot heal those wounds …
And today I feel the impotence of being
Hope – to shout the future of tomorrow
the sun rises in this country drowsily
now as the weather is closed fragile in a shell;
And today I feel the impotence of being
Courage – to see beyond the madness
all my compatriots are isolated, to change the fate of the beautiful
who is raped before our eyes in an ugly way
in tears, but indifferent!
And today I feel the impotence of being,
… poetry arising from this earth
and echoes to people with fragrance of Albania,
because I know that our pride is so innocent
as waking with the eyes up in the sky
that we ask any light threshold.
Your sadness is what my home will inherit in sadness
I will keep it forever on my shoulders
as a regret
why couldn’t I be another verse
that so through this poetry I could give you my own breath!
