The other day I saw
a man burning a
“Don’t Tread on Me” flag
in his front yard.
I was surprised by this
until I realized he
was only burning off
the word “Don’t” from the flag
and leaving the rest of it
to be unfurled and reflown from his house.
I guess he figured, “why not” or “who isn’t?”
