Not voting in all elections, we will surely frown,
For while sitting, you’re accepting plagues of clowns,
Right under Barry’s nose 900 state seats have gone red,
So don’t restrict your worry on how to elect a fed.
Came Tuesday, Dems cared little bout a Tucky vote,
Risked leaving 100,000 kids out of health care’s boat.
Only 30% of voters gave Pug Bevin a power boost,
To gut health care for the poor, something they might well lose.
Voting was ceded to Bible passion and rawhide rants,
While wimpy Dems stayed home, to do their righteous chants.
How is that, you might ask?
Well, you’re letting rabid crazies decide,
In favor of candidates who billionaires buy.
What’s wrong with that, might you ask?
Pug candidates are wearing a mask,
Face bared, they’ll infect a toxic state,
Wrought by Koch-like donors with fossil fates.
Infect with what, you dare query?
Infect with dogma and ideological theory,
With program effluents only Kochs could bank,
While they’re pushing profit thru fossil tanks.
Against what, you say?
Against yourself and reason,
As misanthropy is more in season.
As 2010 full dawned, a small minority voted,
Bringing a House majority which on trivia doted.
While nothing is done but shutdowns you see,
Gerrymandering has kept it stacked GOP.
After two years passed, Barry was there,
But the Freedom Caucus still had votes to spare,
And twisted districts cancelled millions of votes,
Still bringing a GOP succession of intransigent goats.
Two more years and 70% stayed home,
Reaping Senate changes and a turtle-like gnome.
For miasmic Mitch led a majority manse,
As Pugs then took a much crazier stance.
A year from now, if majorities don’t vote,
Pugs will leave us with sinking boats.
Democracy will experience a critical mass,
And we’ll finally awaken to losing our ass.
