Schumer, who has always panicked when someone smarter than him walks into a room, made sure Grayson wouldn’t get into the Senate and, alas, we’re now stuck with Marco Rubio… and with Grayson out of Congress for at lest two years. This morning was his last few hours in the House before the new members were sworn in. He didn’t let it go to waste.Obviously Paul Ryan will never allow either of Grayson’s last bills be voted on but he managed to slip in two last minute pieces of legislation while the GOP was skulking around gutting the Office of Congressional Ethics and not paying attention. One of Grayson’s bills calls for building a wall around every Trump property, and making Trump pay for them. If that passed, do you think Obama would sign it? I don’t.The other bill would substitute Trump’s much ballyhooed registry of Muslims with a registry of violent bigots. That sounds a lot more useful for actual law and order, even if it misses the showy Trumpanzee pizzazz.I gotta say, Orlando area taxpayers certainly have gotten their money’s worth from Grayson’s salary. We all have— and will look forward to seeing him again back in Congress as soon as possible. On the other hand, politicians who won't be returning to Congress and who we hope to never hear of again: Steve Israel (Blue Dog-NY), Patrick Murphy (New Dem-FL), Frank Guinta (R-NH), Scott Garrett (R-NJ), Tim Huelskamp (R-KS), Ann Kirkpatrick (New Dem-AZ), Matt Salmon (R-AZ), Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA), John Kline (R-MN), John Mica (R-FL), Joe Pitts (R-PA), Gwen Graham (Blue Dog-FL), Loretta Sanchez (Blue Dog-CA), Randy Neugebauer (R-TX), Ander Crenshaw (R-FL), Curt Clawson (R-FL), Stephen Fincher (R-TN), Renee Ellmers (R-NC), Brad Ashford (Blue Dog-NE), Cresent Hardy (R-NV), Lord Boustany (R-LA) and Marlin Stutzman (R-IN).
